The Terminology Consulting Services (TCS) group of 3M Health Information Systems, Inc. (3M HIS) is composed of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who have not only extensive mapping experience, but who also have years of clinical experience in a variety of domains.

3M TCS clients have sought assistance in vocabulary mapping and standardization for a variety of reasons:

 Participation in Health Information Exchanges (HIEs)/Regional Health Information Organization (RHIOs)
