Invitation to the Public Laboratory LOINC® Workshop and Meeting

LOINC (Logical Observation Identifier Names and Codes) is a universal code system for identifying laboratory and clinical observations.

Workshop and Meeting Purpose:

  1. To educate users about the use and utility of LOINC codes, including how to map their local laboratory tests to LOINC using RELMA
  2. To obtain public and Committee input

Mapping local terms to LOINC makes it possible to exchange and pool data from many independent systems for clinical care, research, outcomes management, and lots of other purposes.
