New RELMA Functions
- All the logos and icons used in the program have been replaced with the new and improved Regenstrief logos and icons.
- Export to Excel. It is now possible to export search results and hierarchies directly to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. To use this option, select one or more rows in the display then right click to bring up a context menu. Select the "Export to Excel" option from the menu. NOTE - this option isn't available on the search results "grid view" only the search results "Tree view".
- Improved HTML displays. We have substantially reformatted and improved the HTML LOINC detail display screens.
- New Panels & Survey Instrument browser. We have added a new screen for browsing and reviewing the LOINC panels and survey instruments. This new screen is available from the "Panels & Surveys" button on the main screen. It is also available from the File | View Panels and Survey Instruments menu option.
- New search restriction on method. In previous versions of RELMA users were able to limit their search results to terms that do not contain a method by applying the "Methodless Terms Only" search restriction. Suppose a group of LOINC terms with the same component, property, time, system and scale contains at least one term that does not contain a method. In this case the existing search restriction works great since at least one LOINC term from the group will pass the test and will be displayed in the search results. However, if all the LOINC terms in the group are method specific then all the LOINC terms in the group will fail the test and none of them will be displayed in the search results. We have addressed this problem in this version by adding a new search restriction called "If no methodless version exists, then return the method specific terms" which works in conjunction with the existing "Methodless Terms Only" search restriction. The new search restriction will work just like the existing search restriction in cases where a group of LOINC terms contains at least one term that does not contain a method. However, if all the LOINC terms in the group with the same component, property, time, system and scale are method specific then unlike the existing search restriction the new search restriction will allow all the terms in the group to be displayed in the search results.
- New search restriction on common laboratory tests. Regenstrief Institute analyzed data from the Indiana Network for Patient Care (INPC) and derived a list of LOINC codes that comprise 99.8% of the laboratory tests that were performed. On the search constraints screen there is a new search restriction called "Common tests 99.+ %tile". When this search restriction is enforced the search results will only contain LOINC codes that are members of this list.
- Change translations on the fly. In previous versions of RELMA, changing the linguistic variant displayed required a restart of the program. We have modified the program so that you can now change linguistic variants on the fly. To make this even more convenient, we have added a new menu option "File | Set Preferred Language."
- Mapping History. RELMA now tracks the mapping history of local terms. This is useful for backtracking and for analyzing local terms that were mapped to deprecated LOINCs.
- Minor bug fixes from version 3.20. Corrected minor bug with the CTRL-ENTER search hot key. Corrected a old bug in with the specimen restriction.
