Adult-type diffuse gliomas are now assigned to three different tumor types: Astrocytoma, IDH-mutant; Oligodendroglioma, IDH-mutant and 1p/19q-codeleted; Glioblastoma, IDH-wildtype. IDH-mutant diffuse astrocytic tumors are considered a single entity graded as CNS WHO grade 2, 3, or 4 depending on different histological and molecular features. [PMC9763975]
