Term Description

This term represents whether or not a patient meets the criteria for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) based on the Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Rating Scale. Diagnostic criteria include having a positive response (a score of 2 or 3 on an individual item) for at least six core inattentive symptoms (items 1-9) or at least six core hyperactive symptoms (items 10-18), or both. In addition, at least two items in the performance set of items have to have a score of 4, or one item must have a score of 5.
