Term Description
The date on which death was registered with the jurisdictional vital records registry. The jurisdictional death registry manages the information collected by an appropriate local, state, and territorial vital statistics agency during the process of filing a death certificate, and reporting appropriate date to the national statistical agency. This term was created for, but is not limited in use to, the HL7 Version 2.6 Implementation Guide: Vital Records Death Reporting, Release 1.
