LP14068-8   Actinobacillus suis
Actinobacillus suis is a type of Pasteurellaceae and is a gram-negative, facultative anaerobe. A. suis is commonly harbored in swine tonsillar tissue, and if it enters the bloodstream can cause sepsis, meningitis, arthritis, and pneumonia. Although A. suis shares several virulence factors with A. pleuropneumoniae, they cause different diseases and A. suis has a broader host range. [PMID:26567540] Source: Regenstrief LOINC
