IQVIA Clinical Terminology Server is a platform that guarantees semantic interoperability through the use of standards. It simplifies the distribution and use of clinical terminologies (ICD10MC-PCS, SNOMED CT, LOINC, ORPHA, HPO, etc.) and keeps them permanently updated with the sources. It provides a single, centralized repository for terminology needs and includes automated coding functionalities using advanced fuzzy search and NLP algorithms. As it is a Software as a Service (SaaS) application, it is integrated with information systems in compliance with FHIR specifications. It has coding capabilities that allow for own mappings and their maintenance, as well as the governance of terminologies.

The platform implements LOINC as a reference standard terminology. Its main aim is to facilitate the information exchange in the clinical laboratory environment. The platform serves the terminology to our customers and allows the automatic and/or manual mapping of local terms to LOINC codes based on a score. The tool incorporates all the processes for the maintenance and updating of the terminology and adds authoring capabilities allowing the creation of provisional LOINC codes. Our team consists of terminologists who offer consultancy, training, and guidance for accurate mapping.
