We calculate a POCT GFR by the Creatinine-based formula (CKD-EPI) formula but there is no LOINC for a whole blood. There is one for serum/plasma (62238-1)

When others encounter these situations, do you use the available code or not map the test and wait for the next release?

    Hello,

Our experience is to NOT map to a closest code, but rather use that closest code as a basis of a submission to Regenstrief for a new code with different specimen. Instructions are found in the RELMA Manual.

    Have a great day,
