Left ventricular Major axis apical diastole [Length] by US 2D
Active
Part Description
LP6574-0 US.2D
Two-dimensional (2D) imaging is one of three ultrasound modes (2D, M-mode, and Doppler) used for cardiac imaging. 2D imaging is the primary method of cardiac imaging and allows structures to be viewed moving in real time in a cross-section of the heart (two dimensions). It is used to detect abnormal anatomy or motion. The most common cross-sectional views are the parasternal long axis, the parasternal short axis, and the apical view. The gastric or subcostal and suprasternal views are also commonly used. [NCBI Books: NBK2215]
