8246-1 Amorphous sediment [Presence] in Urine sediment by Light microscopy
Part Descriptions
LP17769-8 Amorphous sediment
Amorphous sediment turns urine turbid due the formation of crystal granules with the appearance of sand. Amorphous can be found in two forms: amorphous urate (found in acidic urine) and amorphous phosphate (found in alkaline or neutral urines). These are of minimal if any clinical significance.

Part Descriptions
LP36155-7 Artifact
In natural science and signal processing, an artifact is any perceived distortion or other data error caused by the instrument of observation.
For example, a compression artifact in computer science is a noticeable error caused by lossy data compression. In microscopy, artifacts are sometimes introduced during the processing of samples into slide form.

49967-3 Charcoal [Presence] in Urine sediment by Light microscopy
Term Description
Activated charcoal is given orally to patient who demonstrates fistulous connections between the intestine and bladder.
Source: Regenstrief LOINC
Part Descriptions
LP65027-2 Charcoal
Charcoal is the blackish residue consisting of impure carbon obtained by removing water and other volatile constituents from animal and vegetation substances. Charcoal is usually produced by slow pyrolysis, the heating of wood, sugar, bone char, or other substances in the absence of oxygen (see pyrolysis, char and biochar). The resulting soft, brittle, lightweight, black, porous material resembles coal and is 85% to 98% carbon with the remainder consisting of volatile chemicals and ash.

2272-3 Fat [Presence] in Urine
Part Descriptions
LP28807-3 Fat
Fats consist of a wide group of compounds that are generally soluble in organic solvents and largely insoluble in water. Chemically, fats are triesters of glycerol and fatty acids that may be either solid or liquid at room temperature, depending on their structure and composition. Although the words "oils", "fats", and "lipids" are all used to refer to fats, "oils" is usually used to refer to fats that are liquids at normal room temperature, while "fats" is usually used to refer to fats that are solids at normal room temperature. "Lipids" is used to refer to both liquid and solid fats, along with other related substances. The word "oil" is used for any substance that does not mix with water and has a greasy feel, such as petroleum (or crude oil) and heating oil, regardless of its chemical structure.
