Part Descriptions
LP190757-7 Vena contracta diameter
The vena contracta (VC) is the diameter of the smallest area of regurgitant blood flow. The diameter of the VC can be measured using Doppler imaging and reflects the degree of valvular regurgitation regardless of regurgitant jet direction. VC measurements have good correlation with other methods of evaluating valve regurgitation and can be used to assess all four cardiac valves.

LP6617-7 US.doppler
Doppler ultrasound detects the shift in frequency of ultrasound signals reflected from moving objects. Conventional Doppler techniques assess the velocity of blood flow by measuring high-frequency, low-amplitude signals from small, fast-moving blood cells. PMID: 16534017
