Mitral valve medial annulus Tissue velocity.E-wave.max by US.tissue doppler.A4C
Active
Part Description
LP191909-3 Tissue velocity.E wave.max
The e prime (e') wave (LOINC component: tissue velocity.E wave) represents the annular tissue velocity of the mitral or tricuspid valve during early diastole, before atrial contraction. The blood flow velocity during early diastole is known as the E wave (LOINC component: blood flow velocity.E wave). The early diastolic velocity ratio (E/e') is an indicator of left ventricular diastolic function. PMID: 20451803 The ratio of early diastolic tissue velocity to tissue velocity during atrial contraction (e'/a') may also be an indicator of left ventricular function but is less reliable than the E/e' ratio.
