Term Description

This panel is used to report the results for omega-3 and omega-6 testing in patients with known cardiovascular disease (CVD) or those with risk factors for CVD. It includes individual measurements for omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as well as total omega-3 and omega-6 levels and clinically relevant ratios. This panel was created for, but is not limited in use to, the submitter's OmegaCheck panel performed at the Cleveland Heart Lab. Note that this panel is for whole blood testing; a similar LOINC panel for Ser/Plas testing is [LOINC: 88884-2]
