Part Description
LP113822-3 Epithelial cells.ciliated
Epithelium is the tissue composed of cells that lines the cavities and surfaces of structures in the human body. Ciliated cells are simple columnar epithelial cells with cilia, hair-like microtubular projections, which move in a certain wavelike direction. The movement of the cilia are responsible for the movement of mucus. Ciliated cells are found in the respiratory system, including air passages (like the nose), and in the uterus and Fallopian tubes of females.
