Rosner index
Active
Description
The Rosner Index subtracts the clotting time of the pooled normal plasma from the clotting time of patient 1:1 mix. This result is then divided by the clotting time of the patient plasma. A higher index value indicates that the addition of normal plasma has not succeeded in correcting the abnormally elevated aPTT, therefore representing the possibility of an inhibitor. A low index value indicates correction (and therefore points to a factor deficiency). Generally values >15% are indicative of an inhibitor. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
