Description
A subclass of microscopic protozoans some species of which parasitize in the epithelial cells of the intestinal tract, liver and other organs of pets and humans. Species that infect humans include Toxoplasma, Cryptosporidium, and Isospora belli. Isospora species of dogs and cats are generally not infective to humans. Source: Regenstrief Help
