CD57 is found on NK cells, some T and B cells, and some monocytes. Natural killer cells usually lack CD3 expression, but express CD2, CD16, CD56, CD57, and sometimes CD8. Natural killer cell populations may be increased or decreased with various immunologic abnormalities. CD57 is usually positive in T-cell large granular lymphoctye leukemia, but negative in in aggressive NK-cell leukemia.
