Description

Cefaloridine (or cephaloridine) is a cephalosporin. It is unique among cephalosporins in that it exists as a zwitterion.

Before the 1970s, cephaloridine was used to treat patients with urinary tract infections. Besides the drugs has been used successfully in the treatment of various lower respiratory tract infections. Cephaloridine was very effective to cure pneumococcal pneumonia.
