Description

Streptobacillus moniliformis is a gram-negative, non-acid fast rod that is the causative agent of Rat bite fever in North America. Symptoms of Rat bite fever include fever, rigors, and polyarthralgias, and the disease has a 10% mortality rate if not treated.
