Phospho-S6 ribosomal protein
Active
Description
Phosphorylation of S6 ribosmal protein (phosho-S6RP, p-S6RP) is a useful biomarker of antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) in transplants. Studies suggest it is required for biosynthesis of cellular translation (mRNA), growth and proliferation. Important S6 ribosomal protein phosphorylation sites include several residues (Ser235, Ser236, Ser240, and Ser244) located within the carboxy-terminal region of the S6 protein.
