Description

Hydroxyphenyllactic acid is a tyrosine metabolite. It is carcinogenic. The level of hydroxyphenyllactic acid is elevated in patients with deficiency of the enzyme p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate oxidase (EC 1.14.2.2).
