Description

Elevation of one or more organic acids is diagnostic for organic aciduria. Phenylacetate acid is a bacterial metabolite of tyrosine. Elevated levels may be seen with tyrosinemia,PKU,and hawkinsinuria.(Information from: Kumps A, Duez P, Mardens Y.
