14-3-3 eta Ag
Active
Descriptions
14-3-3 eta protein is one isoform of seven conserved regulatory proteins (beta, gamma, epsilon, eta, sigma, Theta, and zeta). The 14-3-3η protein appears to add to the pathologic process of joint erosion and may be a marker of joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis as levels are higher in the serum of individuals with active joint disease than in those with inactive RA or psoriasis without arthritis. 14-3-3 eta protein is an adapter protein regulating a large number of signaling pathways, binding to a large number of partners usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. This binding generally causes the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. 14-3-3 eta protein negatively regulates the kinase activity of PDPK1. Source: Regenstrief LOINC , UniProt
