Description

Chromosomal translocation t(14;18)(q32;q21)(IGH,MALT1) was first detected in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. It is also found in other B-cell non-hodgkin lymphomas such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). This translocation is cytogenetically indistinguishable from t(14;18)(q32;q21.3) IGH-BCL2.[Atlas Genetics Oncology: t1418q32q21ID1350] FISH with probes specific to the targeted genes distinguishs between the two different rearrangements.
