Description
Stenosis is the degree of narrowing inside an artery that is typically caused by a build-up of material such as inflammatory cells, cholesterol crystals, or calcium deposits. A small degree of stenosis is usually asymptomatic, but more significant stenosis can lead to blockage of the artery or arteries, resulting in a number of conditions including angina, myocardial infarction, and stroke.
