Description
A liver fibrosis score is a noninvasive method used to determine the presence and degree of liver fibrosis in a patient based on a variety of different parameters (e.g., lab tests, age, and gender) depending on the method used. PMID: 21254180. Different methods used to calculate a patient's liver fibrosis score include the Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF) test, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) fibrosis score, HepaScore, FibroMeter, and FibroSURE.
