Description

Fenthion is a yellow to tan, oily liquid that smells like garlic. It is a powerful cholinesterase used to eradicate insects, birds, mites and ticks. Fenthion is broadly used in tropical fresh waters to fend off mosquitoes. Fenthion is toxic if inhaled, ingested or absorbed through the skin. Symptoms following exposure to fenthion include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, salivation headache, dizziness, weakness, eshaustion, rhinorrhea, chest tightness, blurred vision, cardiac irregularities, and dyspnea.[PubChem:3346] Source: Regenstrief LOINC
