Description

Chromosomal translocation t(8;14)(q24;q32) invovling MYC and IGH genes is found in both in B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and in non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL), especially in the Burkitt lymphoma. This translocaiton is a variant of translocations t(2;8)(p12;q24) IGK/MYC and t(8;22)(q24;q11) IGL/MYC, all of which share a breakpoint in 8q24 (C-MYC locus) and present the same clinical significance.[Atlas Genetics Oncology:t0814ID1050] Source: Regenstrief LOINC, t(8;14)(q24;q32) IGH/MYC
