Description
Jamestown Canyon virus (JCV), a member of the California serogroup, has a wide geographic distribution throughout much of temperate North America. It causes mild febrile illness and, rarely, aseptic meningitis or primary encephalitis. Transmission is through mosquito bites. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
