Description

Methylenedioxyethylamphetamine (MDE) is part of the entactogen substance group which includes methylenedioxymethamphetamine also known as ecstasy. The psychological effects associated with the use of MDE include pleasant emotions, relaxation, peace, contentment, feelings of closeness to others, significant stimulation and hallucinogen-like effects. Autonomic effects of MDE include a rise in cortisol and prolactin, elevated blood pressure and heart rate and a slight rise in body temperature. Some users have delayed adverse effects in the days following MDE ingestion that include depression, lethargy, tension and anxious feelings.
