Hepatitis C virus nonstructural 5a (NS5a) is a phosphoprotein, involved both in viral replication and in many interactions with cellular signaling pathways, including the interferon anti-viral pathway. PMID: 26719254 The principal HCV NS5A mutations associated with resistance to the NS5A inhibitors include those identified at codons 28, 30, 31, 58, and 93.
