Active
Description
Alpha pyrrolidinovalerophenone (α-PVP) is a synthetic cathinone (also known as a bath salt) that has been identified as a substance of abuse. A recent study has shown that after acute exposure to α-PVP, transient neuropsychiatric impacts were present, followed by physiological effects characteristic of the sympathetic nervous system, increased creatinine phospokinase and lactic acid, acid-base balance disorders and coagulopathy.
