Description

Crufomate is an organophosphate livestock insecticide that is poured or sprayed on cattle to eradicate grubs, lice, and horn flies.[http://pmep.cce.cornell.edu/profiles/insect-mite/cadusafos-cyromazine/crufomate/insect-prof-crufomate.html] The crufomate white crystals are a cholinesterase inhibitor that are toxic when ingested or absorbed into the body by inhaling its aerosol or directly through the skin. Symptoms that can occur after crufomate has been ingested include dizziness, sweating, labored breathing, nausea, unconsciousness, vomiting, pupillary constriction, muscle cramp and excessive salivation. If ingested, symptoms include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, pupillary constriction, muscle cramps, and excessive salivation. Exposure to crufomate can affect the nervous system causing convulsions and respiratory failure.
