Description
Phl p 11 is an allergen with structural similarity to the Soybean trypsin inhibitor family of proteins, however no enzymatic activity has been found. Note that the allergen now known as Phl p 12 was initially described as Phl p 11.
Up to 70% of grass pollen sensitized individuals in temperate climates have been reported to react with group 11 allergens.
