Coagulation factor II inhibitor
Active
Description
Coagulation factor inhibitors can develop in patients with coagulation factor deficiencies after receiving factor therapy as well as in response to various antibiotics, chemotherapy and other conditions such as autoimmune disorders. Factor II (prothrombin) autoantibodies are rare but can develop in patients with anti-phospholipid syndrome (APS) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The presence of factor II inhibitors can present with bleeding and pregnancy complications such as recurrent miscarriage. PMID: 24919006 Source: Regenstrief LOINC, PMID: 24919006
