Description
Diagnostic mammography involves additional views of the breast beyond the two views typically taken with screening mammography. Diagnostic mammography is performed when a woman presents with breast changes (e.g. lumps, pain, nipple discharge, etc) or when an abnormality is detected on a screening mammogram.
