Microscopy is a technique that uses microscopes to examine objects too small to be seen with the naked eye. Microscopic observation is what is detected when using a microscope . For example, the microscopic observation when looking at a gram stain would be gram postive bacteria (bacteria stained purple) and gram negative bacteria (bacteria stained red).
