Bacterial carbapenem resistance blaOXA-143 gene
Active
Description
OXA beta-lactamase genes make up the second largest family of antibiotic resistance genes in gram negative bacteria. These genes produce enzymes that confer resistance to penicillins, cephalosporins and carbapenems. Molecular detection is performed to screen for pathogens, control the spread of infections, and for use in epidemiological data. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
