Description

Finegoldia magna, previously classified as Peptostreptococcus magnus, is a Gram positive anaerobic bacteria. F magna has been identified as a pathogen in bone and joint infections, including septic arthritis, soft tissue abscesses and chronic wound infections, such as those related to diabetes, and prosthetic heart valve infectious endocarditis.
