Description
CVVHD is a simple CRRT technique, suitable for intensive care unit staff with no trained dialysis nurses, which facilitates an adequate control of uremia, fluid removal, acid-base homeostasis, and parenteral nutrition.6-9 CVVHD and continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) have been combined as continuous veno-venous hemodiafiltration to provide greater solute in some CRRT machines with limited blood and dialysate flows.
