    Dear members,

I’m looking for a list of LOINC lab codes for pharmacovigilance or post-market drug studies.

Do you know if an institution such as (e.g. FDA, NLM,) or an SDO (e.g CDISC) or initiatives (e.g OHDSI) have proposed a list of top Loinc codes to use for this kind of use case?

    Best regards.

    Marc

    Hello Marc,

Jozef Aerts of XML4Pharma has presented on his work with LOINC and CDISC at several LOINC conferences. Presuming his knowledge is a good start in referring you to the right person/agency/institution, I am forwarding your request for information through email. Any responses will be posted back in here for Forum members benefit.

    Sincerely,

    Pam

    Thanks Pam for the introduction!
Marc: I do not know of such a list, but I can surely look into the matter.
CDISC surely hasn’t got it, as CDISC is still trying to keep LOINC “out of the door” …
But I do know there is a “2000+” most used LOINC codes, but that is not especially for pharmacovigilance or post-marketing. I will look it up and post the link here.
I can also check with the FDA about the existence of such a list.
I think NLM has nothing as such, as it is not within its scope. But I can also check there.
    Similar for OHDSI.
Let me look a few things up and I will then come back here, hopefully with more answers.
    Best,
    Jozef

Should I first have a look at the universal lab order codes available on the website ?
