For example, poorly differentiated prostate adenocarcinoma (prostate cancer) and urothelial carcinoma (bladder cancer) may appear similar under the microscope, but PSAP and PSA staining can help differentiate them;prostate adenocarcinoma often stains with PSA and/or PSAP, while urothelial carcinoma does not.
