Active
Term Description
The DePaul Symptom Questionnaire - Post-Exertional Malaise (DSQ-PEM) is a validated screening questionnaire designed to assess the frequency and severity of symptoms associated with post-exertional malaise (PEM). It evaluates exertion-induced worsening of symptoms such as fatigue, pain, cognitive impairments, and autonomic dysfunction. The questionnaire helps objectively diagnose PEM and distinguish it from other forms of fatigue. It is used in clinical practice and research to determine individual limits of exertion.
