The species Bundibugyo ebolavirus is the taxonomic home of one virus, Bundibugyo virus (BDBV), that forms filamentous virions and is closely related to the Zaire ebolaviruses (EBOV). The virus is one of several that can cause ebola disease in humans, taking the form of viral hemorrhagic fever.
