Antibodies against cytolethal distending toxin B Ab (CtdB Ab) can cross react with vinculin. Vinculin and CdtB antibodies are useful as biomarkers for irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (D-IBS) and may help distinguish D-IBS from inflammatory bowel disease in the workup of chronic diarrhea.
