Part Descriptions
LP17039-6 Polistes spp
Paper wasps are wasps of the family Vespidae, in the strict sense those belonging to the subfamily Polistinae, but the term is used colloquially to include some members of the subfamilies Vespinae and Stenogastrinae which also make nests out of paper. The wasps gather fibres from old wood and dry dead plant stems, chew them, and mix with saliva to make a water-resistant gray or brown paper. The nests of most true paper wasps are characterised by having open cells and a petiole attaching the nest to the substrate, or place where it is attached. The wasps produce a chemical which repels ants, and they secrete it around the base of this petiole in order to avoid letting their brood become ant food. Despite the use of the proper name, most social wasps make nests from paper, although some tropical wasp species, such as Liostenogaster flavolineata, use mud, a far easier resource for the wasp to collect.

LP32397-9 Ab.IgG4
IgG4 is the least common subtype of IgG, and it has a variety of functions. In the context of allergic disease it is thought to have an immune-inhibitory role in preventing anaphylaxis and is commonly known as a "blocking" antibody. IgG4 binding to an allergen can compete with IgE-mediated binding, thereby inhibiting the activation of mast cells and basophils and IgE-mediated presentation to T-cells. Measuring IgG4 and its ratio to IgE has a role in monitoring allergen specific immunotherapy PMID: 26023323. IgG4 is also thought to have a role in autoimmunity and be involved in a less defined entity known as IgG4-Related Disease, a chronic immune-mediated fibroinflammatory disorder that often manifests with tumor-like masses .[https://www.merckmanuals.com/professional/musculoskeletal-and-connective-tissue-disorders/igg4-related-disease/igg4-related-disease]
