Term Description

General physical condition of a neonate is based on their gestational age in the Neonatal Skin Risk Assessment Scale (NSRAS). Gestational age less than or equal to 28 weeks (=4) is described as very poor. Other gestation ages include greater than 28 weeks but less than or equal to 33 (=3), greater than 33 weeks but less than or equal to 38 weeks (=2), and greater than 38 weeks to posterm (=1). Only one numeric value (1, 2, 3 or 4) is selected.
