JWH-073 is a synthetic cannabinoid from the naphthoylindole family, which acts as a cannabinoid agonist at both the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Research has shown that the parent compound is extensively metabolized prior to excretion and, as a result, present at very low levels in urine samples. Its metabolites are thought to be better targets for assays. JWH-073 has been shown to produce behavioral effects very similar to Delta-9-THC.
