Term Description

Mixing studies are performed using patient plasma and normal control plasma to determine the cause of decreased von Willebrand Factor (vWF) activity levels. In order to appropriately evaluate the results of the mixing studies, it is necessary to perform a vWF activity level on the normal control plasma. This code is created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's BCS test kit.
